A practical category for workshops that sand by hand as much as by machine: deburring, keying surfaces for paint and cleaning up small parts.
What grit should I start with?
- 40 to 60 grit: heavy material removal and stripping.
- 80 to 120 grit: general smoothing and paint prep.
- 180 grit and finer: final finishing before coating.
