Backing Pads

Backing pads and holders connect your abrasive discs to the machine: M14 spiral and ribbed pads for 125mm and 180mm resin fibre discs, hook-and-loop pads for orbital sanders, Pferd Combidisc holders in 50mm and 75mm, and mounting adaptors for combi discs. Pferd, Metabo and Josco options cover the common angle grinder and sander fits.

How do I match a backing pad to my disc?

• Resin fibre discs need an M14 backing pad the same diameter as the disc; ribbed faces improve grip and cooling.
• Hook-and-loop discs need a velcro-faced pad matched to the disc's diameter and hole pattern.
• Quick-change mini discs run on a roll-on holder in 25mm, 50mm or 75mm.
