Resin fibre discs for angle grinders in 100mm, 125mm and 180mm: ceramic grain options such as Pferd Actirox and Norton Blaze for aggressive, cool cutting on stainless, zirconia discs for hard-wearing steel work, and aluminium oxide for general purpose sanding. Slotted and unslotted patterns, 75mm quick-change cloth discs and ceramic Cool reduced-heat versions are all in the range.
Fibre discs pair with a matching backing pad and are the go-to for heavy sanding and weld blending on flat and gently curved work.
Ceramic, zirconia or aluminium oxide?
- Ceramic: the fastest cut and longest life; best on stainless and hard alloys.
- Zirconia: a durable mid-range grain for steel fabrication.
- Aluminium oxide: economical for mild steel and general cleanup.
