Why does welder coolant need to be low conductivity?
Torch cooling circuits run close to live welding components, so equipment manufacturers specify low conductivity coolant rather than tap water or automotive coolant. Using the specified coolant also protects pumps and lines; check your power source manual for the recommended change interval.
