Lifting and materials handling covers rated gear and the jacks to go with it: a 5 tonne hydraulic toe jack, Kincrome welded bottle jacks, an electric lift hoist with frame, flat web slings in 2 and 3 tonne ratings, galvanised grade S bow and dee shackles from 3.2 to 6.5 tonne, welding pipe stands with V-head roller kits and casters, and wheel lifters.

Fabrication shops use the pipe stands and slings daily; the jacks and hoist cover workshop lifting between forklift jobs.

Bow shackle or dee shackle?

Dee shackles suit straight-line, single-sling pulls; bow shackles take multi-leg slings and side loads across their wider body. Either way, work to the rating marked on the shackle and inspect the gear before every lift.
