Tape measures span the everyday and the long haul: 8 m and 10 m power-return tapes including twin packs, magnetic-tip and hi-vis blades, keychain tapes, metric/imperial combination blades, double-sided pocket tapes, and steel and fibreglass Y-frame and close-cased long tapes for setout. Josco, Kincrome and Stabila are all represented.
Steel or fibreglass long tape?
Steel reads more accurately and stretches less; fibreglass shrugs off kinks and moisture and is the safer material around live services. Rough site duty favours fibreglass; tight setout favours steel.
