Why does an emergency shower need a thermal cover?
Because the water in an exposed unit takes on the weather: summer sun can heat standing water enough to scald, and frost can slow or block flow. A foil thermal cover moderates both, keeping the first flush usable — which matters, since the first seconds of flow are the ones that treat the injury.
