What do electrical glove classes mean?

The class sets the maximum working voltage the glove is rated to insulate against, with Class 00 at the low-voltage end and each step up rated for higher potential. Match the class to the highest voltage you could contact, not the typical one, and inspect gloves for damage before every use — insulation only works when intact.
