These are the everyday workhorses: knitted liners with nitrile, latex or PU coatings, including the Maxisafe Black Knight grip series, Rippa Grippa nitrile styles, Blue Knight three-quarter dipped gloves and the Sub-Zero for cold conditions. Poly-cotton latex-palm styles cover budget-conscious general handling.
What do the different glove coatings actually do?
PU gives the thinnest, most tactile coating for dry handling and assembly. Nitrile resists oil and abrasion, making it the pick for workshop conditions. Latex offers the grippiest wet-dry hold but does not like oils. Choose the coating for the surface you grab most, and the liner for the season.
