Vented or unvented hard hat — does it matter?
Vented shells run noticeably cooler outdoors in summer and cost little more. Unvented shells are required where electrical contact is a risk, since vents compromise insulation, and they keep sparks and drips out for welders and trades working overhead. Pick by hazard first, comfort second.
