Aprons

This range covers bib-style welders aprons in heavy-duty grain and split leather, such as the Elliotts Blue Max, alongside aluminised furnace aprons for foundry and radiant-heat work and chemical-resistant aprons for wash-down and mixing tasks. Sizes run from standard bench aprons up to lined furnace aprons around 1070mm x 610mm.

What is a leather welding apron actually for?

An apron protects your torso and lap during bench welding, grinding and fabrication where sparks fall forward and down. It is quicker to throw on than a jacket and much cooler in summer, but it leaves arms exposed — pair it with sleeves or a jacket once you move out of position.
