What is a galvanising bar used for?
It restores zinc-rich protection to galvanised steel after cutting, drilling or welding has burnt the coating away. Heat the cleaned area with a flame and wipe the bar across it — the alloy tins onto the hot steel and re-establishes corrosion protection on edges and weld zones without re-dipping the whole part.
