Low Alloy
Products
Low alloy MIG wire for chrome-moly and high-strength steels — Talarc B2 (CrMo1) solid wire, D2 MnMo, 110 NiCrMo copper-free for quenched and tempered plate, 80Ni-1 for low-temperature toughness, and E81T1-Ni1 gas-shielded flux-cored options. These are the wires for pressure piping, mining equipment and structural steel beyond the reach of standard ER70S-6.
When do I need a low alloy wire instead of ER70S-6?
Whenever the joint must match the parent metal's strength or service conditions: chrome-moly grades for elevated-temperature piping, nickel-bearing wires for sub-zero impact toughness, and 110ksi-class wires for high-strength quenched and tempered steels. Matching the filler classification to the steel grade — not just to "steel" — is what keeps welding procedures compliant.
WeldCo supplies low alloy consumables to fabricators and pressure shops from Melbourne and Adelaide.
