What is a purple tip mixed-oxide tungsten?
A thorium-free blend of rare earth oxides designed to run on both polarities: it holds a point on DC steel and stainless, tolerates AC aluminium, starts easily and lasts well on inverter machines. For workshops that do a bit of everything, it is the simplest tungsten drawer to keep stocked.
