Hardfacing
Products
Hardfacing electrodes for wear repair by stick — CIGWELD Cobalarc 650, WIA Abrasocord 43, UNIMIG Hyperarc 531 and chrome carbide sticks rated around 60HRC for high-abrasion service, in sizes from 3.2mm to 4.0mm.
Which hardfacing electrode hardness do I need?
Choose by wear mode, not the biggest number: lower-hardness deposits around 30–40HRC stay machinable and absorb impact; 50–60HRC resists sliding abrasion on bucket teeth, augers and crusher surfaces; chrome carbide types handle severe abrasion but relief-crack by design and cannot be machined afterwards. On badly worn parts, rebuild dimension with a tough buffer layer first so the hard capping has sound support underneath.
WeldCo's Melbourne and Adelaide branches supply hardfacing rods to earthmoving, quarry and agricultural maintenance crews.
