Helmets
Products
Auto-darkening welding helmets for every level of use, from entry-level variable-shade lids through to professional-series helmets with true-colour optics, grind modes and wide viewing areas. The range spans CIGWELD Arcmaster helmets, WIA auto-darkening lids and UNIMIG Professional Series hoods, alongside shade 8–12 true-view helmets and PAPR-upgradeable models for welders planning to add powered air later.
It suits boilermakers, fabricators, site welders and maintenance fitters alike — pick a shade range, viewing size and headgear that match your process and hours under the hood.
What shade do I need for MIG and TIG welding?
As a rule of thumb, MIG at typical trade amperages sits around shade 10–12, stick around 9–12, and TIG from about shade 8 at low amps up to 12 or more as current rises. Most variable-shade helmets cover 9–13, which handles all three processes — start darker and lighten until the arc is comfortable without straining to see the puddle. Low-amp TIG welders should check the helmet's TIG amp rating so the lens triggers reliably.
WeldCo supplies welding helmets to trades across Melbourne and Adelaide, with practical advice on matching a lid to your process.
