Machines
Stick welding machines from 130A portables to mine-spec plants — CIGWELD Transarc, Unimig Razor Arc, WIA Weldarc and Lincoln units, most with VRD fitted.
Products
Stick welding machines from 130-amp portables to mine-spec plants: CIGWELD Transarc 130i and 170i (including mine-spec builds), ES150i and ES200i Pro units, Unimig Razor Arc and Viper Arc, WIA Weldarc packages and the Lincoln Electric Powercraft 185. Most run lift TIG as a second process and many carry VRD as standard.
What does VRD mean on a stick welder?
Voltage reduction device — it drops the open-circuit voltage to a safe level until the electrode touches the work, then switches to full welding voltage. It's mandated on many Australian mine and construction sites, so if your work takes you onto controlled sites, buy a VRD-equipped machine from the start.
WeldCo's Melbourne and Adelaide teams can confirm site-compliance specs before you order.
