Push-pull guns pair a drive motor in the torch with the feeder's drive rolls, keeping constant tension on the wire over long leads. The current listing is the Unimig 300 A push-pull gun to suit Envy series machines.
When is a push-pull gun worth it?
Mainly for aluminium and other soft wires, which buckle and birdnest when pushed alone through a long lead — the pull motor at the torch keeps the feed smooth where a standard gun struggles. Water-cooled and other push-pull options also appear under the main Welding Torches & Torch Spares category and the Binzel torch range.
