Hammer drill or rotary hammer — which do I need?

• Hammer drill: masonry anchors and mixed drilling in steel, timber and brick using a standard chuck.
• SDS rotary hammer: repeated holes in concrete — the piston mechanism drills faster with far less push.
• SDS Max demolition hammer: chiselling and breaking rather than drilling.
