Impact wrenches from service-grade to structural: Metabo 18V brushless 1/2 inch wrenches at 300Nm and 130–400Nm selectable output, LTX class units at 600 to 800Nm, and up to 1450Nm on the 1/2 inch and 1750Nm on the 3/4 inch drive for plant and structural bolting. A 650W corded 1/2 inch wrench at 600Nm covers bench work where a lead is no problem. Most models come skin-only or kitted with LiHD batteries and charger.
How much torque do I need in an impact wrench?
- 300–400Nm: wheel nuts, machinery guards and general fasteners.
- 600–800Nm: suspension, plant maintenance and larger structural bolts.
- 1450Nm and up: seized fasteners and heavy structural work.
