Why fit a refrigerated air dryer to a compressor?

Compressing air concentrates its moisture, which then condenses in lines and tools — rusting tanks, spoiling paint finishes and cutting air-tool life short. A refrigerated dryer chills the air so the water drops out before it reaches your lines, which matters for spray painting, plasma cutting and any plant running all day.
