Aluminium cut carbide burrs — open-flute cylindrical burrs on 1/4 inch shanks that resist loading in aluminium and soft metals.
Products
Aluminium cut burrs use a wide, open flute geometry that clears soft, stringy swarf before it welds to the tool. The range includes ALPHA and Holemaker cylindrical square end burrs on 1/4 inch shanks with 3/8 and 1/2 inch heads.
Why do standard burrs clog in aluminium?
Fine double cut teeth pack with gummy aluminium swarf, which then smears rather than cuts. Aluminium cut flutes are deeper and fewer, so chips eject freely — a touch of cutting wax helps further. They also suit brass, copper and plastics.
