The deepest threading range in the store: Sutton three-piece HSS tap sets from M8 to M24, UNF and BSPF gas thread taps, spiral point taps, ALPHA MC hand taps in taper and bottoming leads, plus large carbon hand taps for sizes like M37. Metric, imperial and pipe threads are all represented.
Taper, intermediate or bottoming — which tap when?
- Taper: long lead for starting square in through holes.
- Intermediate: the general-purpose middle ground.
- Bottoming: threads to the base of blind holes after starting with the other two.
