Why spiral flute for blind holes?
The helical flutes pull swarf back up and out of the hole, so chips don't pack at the bottom and jam the tap — the main way taps snap in blind holes. Pair with a tapping head or rigid tapping cycle and cutting fluid for clean, repeatable threads.
