Welders Jackets & Aprons

Welders jackets and aprons are the first line of defence against spatter, sparks and radiant heat. This section splits into two ranges: welding jackets, from flame-resistant cotton through to leather-sleeved and aluminised furnace styles, and welders aprons in leather and specialist materials for bench and fabrication work.

Do I need a welding jacket or just an apron?

It comes down to position and process. If you weld standing at a bench with the work in front of you, a leather apron over FR clothing can be enough. For out-of-position work, MIG on heavy sections, or anything overhead, a full jacket protects your arms and shoulders where spatter actually lands.
