MIG Welding Wires
MIG welding wires in solid, flux-cored and metal-cored types — ER70S-6 mild steel, stainless, aluminium and hardfacing on 0.9kg to 15kg spools.
Products
MIG welding wires for every gas and application: solid mild steel wire such as CIGWELD Autocraft LW1, metal-cored options like Fabcor 86R and Hobart FabCo XL-525, and flux-cored wires from UNIMIG Hypercore T-11 gasless through to nickel-alloyed types for structural work. Stainless flux-cored 309L and hardfacing wires round out the range, on spools from 4.5kg to 15kg with pallet quantities for production fabrication.
What's the difference between solid, flux-cored and metal-cored MIG wire?
- Solid wire — clean, low-spatter welds on prepared steel; needs shielding gas and suits thin-to-medium sections.
- Flux-cored wire — a tubular wire with flux inside; higher deposition and better tolerance of mill scale and positional work. Gas-shielded types suit structural fabrication, self-shielded types run without a bottle.
- Metal-cored wire — a metal powder core gives solid-wire cleanliness with flux-cored travel speeds, popular for single-pass production welding.
WeldCo stocks MIG wire for trade accounts across Melbourne and Adelaide, with volume pricing on spool cartons and pallets.
